The City of Decatur now has an opt-in version of this year’s National Citizen Survey, which was originally given to only 1,500 randomly selected households, Decatur Mayor Patti Garrett said.

Anyone interested in taking the survey can do so here. This link is different than the one included on the hard copy of the survey, so those who received a mailed version should submit that version.

The survey covers numerous topics, including public safety, traffic and affordable housing.

The survey will be open through March 23. The National Citizen Survey will collect any data collected via this link separately to maintain the “statistical significance” of the data collected from the responses of 1,500 households.

The city will use the survey data for its budgeting, strategic and annual planning processes.
