On Wednesday, April 11, the Decatur Farmers Market will open for its main market season, according to an announcement from the city.

Operating from 4 – 7 p.m., the weekly Wednesday market will offer fresh, organically grown produce, meats, bread, cheeses and other artisan foods, all made locally. The opening will feature live music and a kids’ booth with family-friendly activities.

Then, on Saturday, April 14, the regular Saturday market will celebrate its reopening with a ribbon cutting by Mayor Patti Garrett. The Saturday market will run weekly from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Both markets are located on the lawn of the First Baptist Church at 308 Clairemont Ave., with free parking in the church parking lot.
