The mother of a 14-year-old girl who ran away on Monday afternoon says her daughter has been located in Oakhurst.

The Police Department said Nya Slaughter, 14, ran away March 12, 5 p.m.

Slaughter also ran away during the summer, but was later found.

Slaughter’s mother, Luana Kelly Slaughter, is one of the founders of the East Lake Security Patrol.

“Nya is really strong headed,” her mother said. “She wants to do what she wants to do.”
