Filming in Avondale will shut down Willis Park for two days

Filming for the upcoming Mark Wahlberg film “Instant Family” will require shutting down Willis Park in Avondale Estates for two days.

“A production crew will be filming a new movie at Willis Park in Avondale Estates on Tuesday, March 13 and Wednesday, March 14,” a notice from the city says. “The park will be closed for use and pedestrian traffic for both days. Filming will also take place at 8 Fairfield Drive on Monday, March 12.”

Paramount Worldwide Productions will be giving out free “King of Pops” at the park on March 14, from noon until 8 p.m., to say “thank you” to residents.
