DeKalb County CEO Michael Thurmond recently appointed new directors for both WorkSource DeKalb and Facilities Management.
Theresa Austin-Gibbons will be the director of WorkSource DeKalb starting on April 2. In her new position, she will lead 32 employees and head up federally-funded programs with workforce solutions for DeKalb County businesses.
According to a recent press release, “Austin-Gibbons has more than 20 years of experience in workforce and economic development at local, state and federal levels, as well as in the private sector.”
She has a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice from Valdosta State University and a Master of Science in business management from Troy University.
Clyde Stovall was appointed as director of Facilities Management, where he will be in charge of a 50 employees and a $50 million budget.
According to a recent press release, within his 35 plus years of facilities management experience, Stovall “has served as the department’s interim director since April 2017 and manages capital construction projects and maintenance of DeKalb’s 274 buildings.”
Stovall has a Bachelor of Science in civil and structural engineering from Texas Tech University in addition to earning a professional engineering certification.
