DeKalb County Recreation hosting third annual poetry slam for local kids

Dekalb County Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs is ringing in National Poetry Month this April with their third annual Poetry Slam on Friday, April 27 at 7 p.m.
The slam will feature poets from 5 to 17 years old, and admission is $5.
The deadline for applicants is April 20, and the registration link can be found by visiting www.dekalbcountyga.gov/parks and clicking on “Register Now.” Applicants can also register in person at any DeKalb recreation center.
The Poetry Slam will be held at the Mason Mills Recreation Center, located at 1340 McConnell Drive in Decatur.
