The event will benefit Tabitha’s House, a haven for teen victims of sex trafficking inGeorgia, as well as the DeKalb Lawyers Association Community and Education Fund, which provides scholarships to deserving minority law students.

“We are so excited to partner with Tabitha’s House and DeKalb Lawyers Association for this exciting event and that we are able to support such worthy causes,” Johnson said.

Johnson has hosted this community event since 2016 and has aimed to provide ways for health vendors and social service organizations to offer information and screenings for the residents of District 5.

The block party will feature a petting farm, pony rides, face painting, health screenings, and free fish fry. The “Blues, Funk, & Soul Explosion” concert, produced by Jupa Jazz Productions, will feature music artists Keisha Jackson, Theodis Ealey and Greg Rose.
