This Saturday, Aug. 25, the Cedar Grove High School Saints football team will be broadcast on national television.

The game will kick off at 2:30 p.m. on ESPN, and the Cedar Grove Saints will be playing the Hewitt-Trussville High Huskies from Trussville, Ala.

“While the Cedar Grove Saints’ reputation is well-known in and around DeKalb County, we are pleased and excited to showcase this team’s talent to the entire nation,” Superintendent and CEO, Dr. R. Stephen Green said in a recent press release. “On behalf of the entire DeKalb County School District, we wish them, as well as the entire Cedar Grove High School community, good luck in their endeavor. We know they will make us proud!”

Out of the past 25 consecutive games, Cedar Grove has won 24 of them with coach Jermaine Smith.

The game on Aug. 25 will be the Saints’ second out-of-state game this month – the team played Summerville High School in South Carolina on Saturday, Aug. 18.
