The DeKalb Community Service Board was recently chosen to be a finalist for the Georgia 2018 Regional Outstanding Behavioral Health Provider Award.
The DeKalb Community Service Board serves people in DeKalb County who have limited to no insurance, helping kids, adults, and elders alike to receive mental health services.
They work in collaboration with City Schools of Decatur, putting extra social workers in the schools to look for students at risk for early intervention. Superintendent David Dude serves on the DeKalb CSB board.
According to a recent press release, “behavioral health providers nominated for this award have a proven track record of providing outstanding behavioral health care to Georgia residents.”
The winner out of the finalists will be announced in early October at the Behavioral Health Symposium Awards Ceremony, hosted by the state Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities.
