The second annual “Dancing with the DeKalb Stars,” an event to raise awareness about domestic violence issues and fundraise for organizations against domestic violence, will take place next month.

Hosted by the DeKalb County Solicitor-General Donna Coleman-Stribling, the event benefits two local domestic violence non-profit organizations, the Women’s Resource Center to End Domestic Violence and International Women’s House.

The expo and fundraiser includes a dance competition featuring members of DeKalb County’s legal, public safety, business and civic communities.

Dancing with the DeKalb Stars will be held on Saturday, Oct. 20 at the Porter Sanford III Performing Arts and Community Center, 3181 Rainbow Dr., Decatur, Ga. 30034. Doors open at 5 p.m. for the expo portion of the event, and the dance competition will begin at 6 p.m. Tickets are available online here.
