The Decatur Book Festival is coming up on Labor Day Weekend. From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sept. 1 as well as 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sept 2, all of the public is invited to this free event.
This year, the Georgia Book & Paper Fair is back. Brought to the festival by the Georgia Antiquarian Booksellers Association (GABA), the book fair will be located at the Ebster Recreation Center, on the corner of Trinity Place and Electric Avenue.
GABA president and owner of Atlanta’s Toadlily Books, Libby Ware, said in a recent press release, “We have over two dozen booksellers from around Georgia and the Southeast [and] dealers knowledgeable about all aspects of book collecting.”
In addition to book selling, there will be five presentations throughout the weekend about topics such as, book collecting, book binding, discussions about famous authors and journalists, and more. All presentations are free and open to all.
