Next month, the Little Creek Farm Conservancy will celebrate horses and all things equine at its 10th annual Horsefest.
The festival will offer events for children, including pony rides, face painting, games and crafts, as well as events for teens and adults, such as equine demonstrations, educational sessions, food trucks, an artisans’ market and silent and live auctions.
For the first time, children under four years of age will be able to ride little ponies, too, according to Little Creek.
The event will take place Saturday, Sept. 15, from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the historic Little Creek Horse Farm, located at 2057 Lawrenceville Hwy, Decatur, Ga. 30033.
Admission to HorseFest is $5, and children under 4 are admitted free of charge. Also, pony rides are $5 to $10 – depending on the ride length.
Tickets may be purchased in advance here, as well as by texting HORSEFEST to 52182 or at the festival.
All proceeds from the event will benefit conservation and improvements at the Little Creek Horse Farm, a DeKalb County park that covers over 40 acres along the South Peachtree Creek and is home to 45 horses.
Little Creek is also home to two riding schools and Stride Ahead equine assisted therapies program.
