Decatur will be hosting its second public meeting for the Talley Street and Sams Street Transportation Improvements Study early next week, seeking community feedback on the developments.

A joint effort between the city and the City Schools of Decatur, the study is looking at ways to improve transportation in the area around CSD’s new school on Talley Street and the Avondale Transit Oriented Development on Sams Street.

The study includes identifying improvements to address all modes of travel, like walling, cycling and driving. Although there will be no formal presentation, the second open house is an opportunity for the community to view the recommended improvements to the transportation network in the area and provide feedback.

The meeting will take place Tuesday, Aug. 28 from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at the City of Decatur Public Works Building, 2635 Talley Street, Decatur, Ga. 30030.
