As of recently, the DeKalb Entertainment Commission created an online portal for business and home owners to advertise their properties to movie and television location scouts.
The portal can be accessed via https://dekalbentertainment.com/film-locations/. You can register your home or business directly by clicking here. Location scouts who want to look at available properties can click here.
According to a recent press release, the website will make it easier for scouts to find “secure locations and permits” as well as “pay for ideal sites throughout the county for film, television and commercial productions.”
“The new system makes location identification and permitting a completely electronic process, with every county department integrated into the online, paperless system,” Director of the DeKalb Entertainment Commission, Shelbia Jackson said in a recent press release. “Our system is based on FilmApp, the accepted standard used across the industry.”
