The city of Tucker wants people to participate in a Transportation Master Plan Survey.

“The city of Tucker has contracted with a team of consultants to examine the current state of transportation in the city and come up with a plan for the future,” the city announced. “There are opportunities and challenges that are being evaluated dealing with everything from congestion to stoplights to bicycle and pedestrian access. At this point, we are at the beginning of the process and no decisions have been made. That makes it the perfect opportunity to weigh in with your thoughts and opinions.”

The survey can be found at the Tucker Tomorrow website by clicking here.

“The Strategic Transportation Master Plan (STMP) will provide a thorough, detailed analysis of transportation issues and opportunities and assess future transportation system demands using a sophisticated computer modeling system,” the Tucker Tomorrow website says. “The STMP will define multi-modal transportation improvements that address issues, capitalize on opportunities and provide for future growth. The STMP will also define a prioritized list of transportation improvement projects.”

The draft transportation plan will be published in early 2019.
