Cindy Diamond, one of the owners of Duck’s Cosmic Kitchen in Decatur, wants people to know that just because the restaurant is listed for sale, it doesn’t mean it’s closing.

She said a recent real estate listing showing the business is for sale created some confusion among customers.

Diamond said, “We are open for business as usual, and are planning to stay that way for the near future. We are looking at our options for possible retirement and are really looking for someone to take over the Duck’s concept.”

Duck’s Cosmic Kitchen, located at 111 New Street in Decatur, is listed for sale. It has a patio, dedicated parking and is 1,500 square feet. Rent is $2,850 a month. The listing pledges, “Owner support for flawless transition, will guarantee no hiccups.”

“[A] separate building steps away from cafe has a commercial kitchen and commissary that fuels a separate wholesale bakery business with prestigious accounts,” the listing says.

The asking price is $160,000.
