On Sept. 17, from 7 to 9 p.m., the Short Docs Festival is back at the Avondale Towne Cinema, located at 106 North Avondale Road.

This Short Docs Festival is a free screening of several short indie documentaries, and many of the filmmakers will be there, too.

The featured docs tell stories about the Clarkston refugee community, history of Stone Mountain, the man behind Sriracha hot sauce, and more.

In addition, “submissions are still being accepted for the second annual Short Docs Film Festival on Feb. 11, 2019,” stated a recent press release.
