DeKalb Fire Safety Festival returns for 16th year, Oct. 6

On Saturday, Oct. 6, DeKalb County Fire Rescue Department is hosting the 16th annual Fire Safety Festival.

From 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., attendees will learn about how to reduce the risk of fires as well as develop a fire escape plan. The festival will be held at Plaza Fiesta, located at 4166 Buford Hwy in Atlanta.

Festival events are family-friendly and local firefighters will be there, too. Events include the following, as listed in a recent press release:

– Hands on activities
– Vehicle extrication demonstration
– Pet fire safety
– Hands-only CPR training
– Touch a fire truck
– Face painting
– Photo booth
– Bounce houses
– DJ and more
