For the latter half of October, the Transit Master Plan for DeKalb County will gather public opinion through three open houses.
The county government is working on a Transit Master Plan with MARTA and the Atlanta Regional Commission.
Back in March 2018, the county hosted two meetings to collect public input about local transportation, and the open houses are a follow up for feedback.
According to a recent press release, this month’s open houses are part of public outreach that are working to:
– Address DeKalb County’s mobility challenges
– Help to enhance future development opportunities
– Improve the quality of life within each of DeKalb’s cities and unincorporated communities, both north and south
Each meeting will have “interactive public activities” that will offer the same information. Below the dates and locations are listed, each open house going from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Oct. 16 – Lou Walker Senior Center, located at 2538 Panola Road, Stonecrest, Ga., 30058
Oct. 23 – Holy Cross Catholic Church, located at 3773 Chamblee Tucker Road, Atlanta, Ga., 30341
Oct. 25 – Maloof Center, located at 1300 Commerce Drive, Decatur, Ga., 30030
