Early voting for the Nov. 6 election begins Monday, Oct. 15

The midterm elections will take place Nov. 6, and early voting begins today, Oct. 15.

The last day to register was Oct. 9.

The county’s early voting locations and dates are as follows:

Voter Registration & Elections Office, 4380 Memorial Drive, Suite 300 Decatur, Ga. 30032: 

  • Monday – Friday, Oct. 15 – Nov. 2, 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.
  • Saturday, Oct. 20 and Oct. 27, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
  • Sunday, Oct. 28, noon – 4 p.m.

South DeKalb – The Gallery at South DeKalb Mall, 2801 Candler Road, Decatur, Ga. 30034: 

  • Monday – Friday, Oct. 15 – Nov. 2, 9 a.m. – 8 p.m.
  • Saturday, Oct. 20 and Oct. 27 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
  • Sunday, Oct. 28, noon – 4 p.m

The following locations will each be open the week of Oct. 29 only. Each will be open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. daily until Nov. 2:

Additionally, absentee ballots (applications can be found here) can be sent in until Nov. 2.

People who wish to vote will need to bring one of the following forms of identification, according to the Georgia Secretary of State’s office:

– Any valid state or federal government issued photo ID, including a free ID Card issued by your county registrar’s office or the Georgia Department of Driver Services (DDS)

– A Georgia Driver’s License, even if expired

– Valid employee photo ID from any branch, department, agency, or entity of the U.S. Government, Georgia, or any county, municipality, board, authority or other entity of this state

– Valid U.S. passport ID

– Valid U.S. military photo ID

– Valid tribal photo ID

How can you check to see if you’re registered?

You can look up your status by visiting the Georgia Secretary of State’s “My Voter Page.” To visit the My Voter Page, click here. You can check your status by providing basic information like your last name, birthday and the county you live in. You can also see a sample ballot and your polling place.
