This weekend, LifeLine Animal Project will provide free veterinary services and pet supplies at its “Healthy Pets DeKalb” event, according to a LifeLine press release.
An effort to help keep pets out of the shelter, the event will provide DeKalb County residents with free vaccinations for their pets provided by licensed veterinarians, along with vouchers for free spay/neuters to use at LifeLine’s Spay & Neuter Clinics, free microchipping, free pet registration, free dog and cat food and free collars and leashes.
Through the “Healthy Pets” events, which take place four times per year, LifeLine hopes to decrease the number of animals in shelters by improving the quality of life for pets and preventing unplanned litters. Over 800 pets were served at another “Healthy Pets” event in Fulton in September, LifeLine said.
The event will take place Saturday, Nov. 3, at Shoal Creek Park II, 3643 Glenwood Road in Decatur, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. No registration is necessary for the first-come, first-served event.
