Run With The Dogs 5K plans to paint a picturesque pup on its official poster

The Run with the Dogs 5k race seeks a “cover dog” to adorn the race poster for the 2019 event.
People interested in entering their dog must register to run in the race.
“The Run With The Dogs 5k benefits our Decatur High and Renfroe Middle School athletic teams by providing uniforms and equipment for over 850 athletes,” a press release from the race organizers says.
The submission deadline is Oct. 26. Here’s more information about how to enter:
Register for the January 12, 2019 event at www.RWTD5k.com. Applicants must be registered in order to win.

Photos can be submitted through Oct 26th.
We will narrow it down to four dogs and create a poll for the community to decide the Face Of The Race!
The “Top Dog” will be named on Monday Nov. 5th.
Michael Harbin, one of the organizers of the race, said, “A portrait of the chosen dog will be painted by local artist and Decatur resident, Adam Pinsley. That portrait will be featured on the event t-shirts as well as promotional posters and all other promotional materials – quite an honor for the chosen pup and the pup’s owner!”
