On Oct. 5 through 7, the Little Women Collaborative Altered Book Project will be exhibited at the Sycamore Place Gallery, showcasing work from 24 different female artists in Atlanta.

According to a recent press release, these artists “have created collaborative art from a 1940s-era edition of the classic book Little Women.”

The gallery is located at 120 Sycamore Pl. in Decatur, and will display a variety of works to tell the story of Little Women in the form of poetry, collage, and painting. Some of the collaborating artists include Sylvia Cross, Ruth Schowalter, and Flora Rosefsky.

The exhibit will open on Oct. 5, from 7 to 10 p.m. Following the opening, the gallery will be open from 2 to 5 p.m. for a book talk on Oct. 6, and then a final showcase and performance will take place from 3 to 6 p.m. on Oct. 7.
