This Saturday, the Avondale Estates Garden Club will host its annual Holiday Bazaar, a community fundraiser featuring a number of holiday goods for sale.

The sale features a wide range of items and gifts, including holiday decorations and apparel, themed gift baskets, one-of-a-kind birdhouses, specialty bath products, plants, jewelry, books, homemade baked goods and the club’s popular cheese straws. Additionally, light refreshments will be served throughout the event.

According to the organization, the proceeds from the Holiday Bazaar — the club’s only fundraiser — will benefit the club’s community projects, which include beautification, charitable and educational efforts throughout Avondale Estates. As a registered non-profit, the club’s members support the women and children at a local women’s shelter, collect and deliver books to the patients at the VA Medical Center in Decatur, donate toiletries and personal clothing items to the residents of the Georgia Regional Hospital and more.

The Holiday Bazaar will take place Nov. 10 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Avondale Community Club at Lake Avondale, 59 Lakeshore Drive.
