DeKalb County sanitation collection schedule to change for Veteran’s Day

The DeKalb County Sanitation Department.

The DeKalb County Sanitation Division will close on Monday, Nov. 12, in observance of the Veterans Day holiday, pushing back the garbage collection schedule by a day.

Additionally, the Sanitation Division’s administrative office, central and north transfer stations and the Seminole Road Landfill will be closed on Monday, Nov. 12, and will reopen on Tuesday, Nov. 13, during normal operating hours.

According to the county, the garbage, recyclable materials and yard trimmings collection for residential customers will be based on the revised schedule below:

Monday, Nov. 12 – Veterans Day observed. No sanitation collection service.

Tuesday, Nov. 13 Residential customers whose regularly scheduled collection day is Monday, Nov. 12, will be serviced on Tuesday, Nov. 13.

Wednesday, Nov. 14 Residential customers whose regularly scheduled collection day is Tuesday, Nov. 13, will be serviced on Wednesday, Nov. 14.

Thursday, Nov. 15 – Residential customers whose regularly scheduled collection day is Wednesday, Nov. 14, will be serviced on Thursday, Nov. 15.

Friday, Nov. 16 – Residential customers whose regularly scheduled collection day is Thursday, Nov. 15, will be serviced on Friday, Nov. 16.
