Throughout the holiday season, the Bee City USA program in Decatur (also known as “Beecatur”) will offer a “Gifts that Grow” program.
Through the program, Beecatur will install one pollinator-friendly native plant, shrub or tree in one of Decatur’s dedicated pollinator habitats for each donation of donation of $15, $25 or $50.
“Help nourish and support our city’s pollinator species without spending a lot of green,” the city said in a newsletter.
For anyone who donates, the recipient’s name will be posted at the habitat site and online. On planting day, they will also receive a photo of their plant being installed.
