Local dance studio to host re-opening celebration in JanuaryPhoto provided to Decaturish.
Dance Studio 33, a local kids’ dance studio and school, will celebrate its re-opening on Saturday, Jan. 12, offering an opportunity for new students to check out the space, meet the teachers and take a free mini dance class.
After being in North DeKalb Mall for over three years, Dance Studio 33 recently relocated into Decatur. The new studio is located at 186 Rio Circle, Suite B.
The studio focuses on offering “a holistic dance education with health/wellness and community engagement being a priority,” studio owner and instructor Tulani Ade said. “We are interested in developing a community of dancers that use the dance to give back and helps other people that are in need. Dance Studio 33 is going to be a platform for us to do some real good in the world.”
Additionally, the studio hosts weekly classes for local schools or organizations, along with classes at their studio, competitive team instruction, camps for school breaks, general dance workshops and more.
Students as young as 2 years old, and of all skill levels or backgrounds, can find classes that work for them. Classes teach a variety of dance styles, including hip-hop, ballet, jazz, tap, modern/contemporary and more.
The re-opening celebration will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Dance Studio 33 studio. Light refreshments will be served.
Dance Studio 33’s winter session begins January 12th. Visit their website here for class schedules and information about their programs.
