DeKalb County Police on Jan. 21 responded to a carjacking at the Sprouts grocery store in Tucker.

The incident happened around 4:30 p.m., according to a report obtained by Decaturish.

The victim told police the incident occurred after she had gotten into her Lexus. She saw the suspect running between cars toward her.

She told police she tried to lock her doors but wasn’t fast enough. The suspect opened the driver’s side door and pointed a gun at her.

“Get out and give me what you got,” the suspect said.

The woman got out of the vehicle. She was afraid the suspect would shoot her, so she ducked between cars and ran from the vehicle without looking back.

The suspect was believed to be headed toward Northlake Parkway.

Sprouts had a camera on the front side of the building, but it was not pointed in the direction of the incident, the report says.

The suspect is described as a black male, 6 foot 3 inches tall, weighing 190 pounds with a slim build, wearing dark clothing.
