City: North Candler Street will be closed Jan. 16

People traveling through Decatur on Jan. 16 should take note.
The city says that Candler Street from East Ponce de Leon Avenue to Commerce Drive will be closed from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
“This will allow a crane to be staged on North Candler Street to facilitate construction at 250 East Ponce de Leon Avenue,” an announcement from the city says. “Local traffic on North Candler Street will be maintained during this period. Through traffic can utilize Commerce Drive to the east or Church Street to the west.”
