The city of Decatur has a higher than usual volume of trash and recycling collection and that has forced the city to delay service by one day.

Thursday and Friday Solid Waste and Recycling Changes- This Week Only

Due to high collection volumes, Thursday’s regular trash and recycling collection will take place tomorrow (Friday, Jan. 4), and Friday’s regular trash and recycling collection will take place on Saturday. This includes yard trimmings, trash, glass and all recyclables.
