On Jan. 4, the DeKalb County Public Library in Decatur will be home to the exhibit, “Expanding Civil Rights: with a Focus on Women of the Movement,” until Jan. 24.

The exhibit will be open to the public during the Decatur Library normal hours. To see those operating hours, click here.

Mike Glenn, veteran NBA player and pre-game show broadcaster for the Atlanta Hawks, is the mind behind the exhibit. In addition to his career in sports, he collects documentation of African American history such as magazines, newspapers and rare books, which make up his featured exhibit.

According to a recent press release, “Glenn aims to shed light on the significant contributions that women of color made to pave the way for President Obama, Hillary Clinton and others.”

“It is important to recognize, understand and build upon the foundation of civil and human rights that so many women helped to establish,” Glenn said in a recent press release.

To check out the exhibit, head to the library, located at 215 Sycamore Street in Decatur.
