Free beginner workshop on media literacy and video production for teenagers

This Saturday, Jan. 12, from 1 to 3:30 p.m., the DeKalb Entertainment Commission is coming together with the Kids Video Connection to host: “Intro to Media Literacy & Video Production,” a workshop
Held at the Tucker-Reid H. Cofer Library, this workshop is free and open to teenagers between 13 and 17 years old. The event is free to attend.
Participants will be exposed to media literacy concepts as well as learn about script writing and video production. In addition, “students will produce a Public Service Announcement to promote reading and the DeKalb County Public Library,” according to a recent press release.
