On March 2, from 7 to 10 p.m., the Color Wheel Studio is hosting the Decatur Mardi Gras Ball.
The ball will benefit the 4/5 Academy at Fifth Avenue and is open to staff, teachers, parents, and friends of the school.
In addition to dancing, attendees can expect food, drinks, and a New Orleans-themed live auction.
Proceeds will go toward 4/5 Academy’s Parent Teacher Organization (PTO), which needs funding for programs, such as the following from a recent press release:
– Falcon Funds which give teachers and staff the ability to implement projects that enhance the school’s education mission, learning environment and school community
– Tybee Island Ecology Field Study Trip for all 5th graders
– Wylde Center Programming
– Math tutoring support
– Social and cultural events throughout the year
