From now until March 8, the DeKalb Cooperative Extension is taking plant orders for its annual sale on March 16, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The plant sale will be held at the Extension Office, which is located at 4380 Memorial Drive, Suite 200, in Decatur.

“Although this sale is just in its seventh year, we are excited to see it grow,” director of the DeKalb Cooperative Extension, Lynwood Blackmon said in a recent press release. “We are committed to helping citizens realize and understand the role they play in the beautification and sustainability of their own neighborhoods.”

Azaleas, blueberries, hydrangeas, and pomegranates are a few of the plants that will be for sale. With the purchase of a plant, there will be a free homeowner gardening seminar included from the following two options:

– Backyard Berries, Tuesday, Feb. 19, at 6:45 p.m.

– Care of Ornamental Plants in the Landscape, Monday, March 4, at 6:45 p.m.

These seminars are normally $10 per class with registration, and they’re held in the Extension Office.

To learn more about the plant orders and sale, call the Extension Office at 404-298-4080 or go to: www.ugaextension.org/county-offices/dekalb.html.
