DeKalb County Police say a pedestrian was seriously injured Thursday evening, Feb. 28.

The incident occurred near The Atlantic North Decatur apartments on DeKalb Industrial way.

“At approximately 7:30 p.m., DeKalb Officers responded to DeKalb Industrial Way and Milscott Drive in reference to a person struck by a vehicle,” a police spokesperson said.  “The victim was heading West and crossing DeKalb Industrial Way on foot. The victim was struck by a vehicle traveling South on DeKalb Industrial Way. The victim was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. The investigation is ongoing.”

The driver remained on the scene, the spokesperson said.
