Petco Foundation hosted LifeLine Animal Project employees for lunch on Feb. 13 and to their surprise, they received an early Valentines Day gift.

Victoria Stilwell, star of “Greatest American Dog” on CBS and “It’s me or the Dog” on Animal Planet, is a celebrity trainer and longtime patron of LifeLine Animal Project. When she made an appearance, employees started to realize that there was more to the afternoon than just lunch.

Along with pet treats and toys, LifeLine received a check for $1 million.

After Stilwell presented LifeLine CEO Rebecca Guinn and Board Chair David Midler with a large Valentines card and envelope with the million-dollar check in it, she said, “This is just to say thank you for your work.”

“We’re really proud to be saving lives,” Guinn said in a recent press release. “We’ve had the honor of being able to transform Atlanta into a lifesaving community. We could not do that without the support of the Petco Foundation.”
