DeKalb County to host fourth annual poetry slam for local youth

The DeKalb County Office of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs will host its fourth annual Poetry Slam next month, according to a county press release.
Taking place in celebration of National Poetry Month, the poetry slam will feature young poets and writers from across the county. Participation is open to any DeKalb youth between 10 and 18 years old. Admission is $5.
The event will take place on Friday, April 19, at 7 p.m. at Mason Mill Recreation Center, located at 1340 McConnell Drive in Decatur. The deadline for participants to register is April 5.
