The annual Oakhurst Jazz Nights series will return for its 16th year, bringing live music to the Oakhurst neighborhood every Thursday in April.

Hosted by the Oakhurst Neighborhood Association, Oakhurst Jazz Nights will feature four different performances with a new artist for each concert. According to the event website, hundreds of guests are expected to attend.

This year’s series kicks off on Thursday, April 4, featuring Mace Hibbard. Eileen Howard will perform on April 11, followed by Dianne Durrett on April 18. On April 25, the series will conclude with a performance by Matt Wauchope.

All concerts begin at 7 p.m. and end at 9 p.m. Free and open to the public, the concerts will take place on the lawn in front of The Solarium at 321 W. Hill St. in the Oakhurst neighborhood of Decatur.

Guest are invited to bring their own food and blankets (no lawn chairs are permitted), and kids are welcome, too. Candle-lit tables with a front-row view of the concert can be reserved for $25 here.

The events are rain or shine, and in the case of rain, the concerts will move inside the Solarium.
