The Wild Crab restaurant in Decatur will serve Cajun fare, according to the store Director of Operations Christopher Wise.

An official opening date has not been set. On Tuesday, March 26, crews were busy renovating the space at 265 Ponce de Leon, which formerly housed DaVinci’s Pizza.

According to the company’s website, the restaurant will have “the best seafood in town.”

“Our goal at Wild Crab is to maintain the quality, creativity and freshness of the food we serve,” the website says. “We strive to maintain a responsible policy towards sustainability, not just with our fish, but with the entire menu.”

There is also a Wild Crab location in Hiram, Ga. Wise said the owners of Wild Crab also own the Taki Japanese restaurants and Fumi Sushi restaurants in Atlanta.

The company has been quiet about its plans.

“We’re trying to keep it under wraps right now,” Wise said. “It’s our first restaurant like this. This is going to be our new brand. There are a lot of Cajun restaurants popping up, but nothing that’s going to be as magnificent as this one.”
