The Decatur Farmers Market will open for the season next week and will host two opening day events, according to a press release from the market’s organizers.
The market will return on Wednesday, April 10 and Saturday, April 13 and will take place every Wednesday and Saturday until late November. Each Wednesday market will occur from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m., while the Saturday market will be open from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m., both on the front lawn of the First Baptist Church of Decatur near the Decatur square.
During the opening days, the market will feature a variety of activities, including live folk music, the usual fresh food and artisanal goods, animals and more. Additionally, a community booth will be open where guests can “connect with neighborhood faces and learn something new,” the release said.
The market also accepts and doubles EBT benefits, meaning those who swipe $10 in EBT will get $20 to spend at the market. Stop by the Information Booth at the market to find out more.
