DeKalb County residents can use the newly launched Empowerline service from the Atlanta Regional Commission.

“Empowerline serves the 10-county Atlanta region and features the most comprehensive database of local services and supports available for older persons and individuals with disabilities,” a press release provided by the city of Avondale Estates says. “Certified professionals and online resources are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week at empowerline.org or by calling 404-463-3333.”

According to a recent press release, Empowerline is self-described as “the front desk for people who need help navigating life changes and surprise obstacles in their homes, with their health, and in their communities,” assisting with meals, transportation, housing, in-home assistance, and more.

“They can help connect you to privately and publicly funded resources from more than 26,000 community-based providers who can point individuals in the right direction for transportation needs, housing, meals, assistance at home, and resources to help care for a loved one,” the press release says.
