Meridian Herald to host SING! A Musical Weekend in Downtown Decatur, June 8-9

On Saturday, June 8, and Sunday, June 9, Meridian Herald is putting on SING! A Musical Weekend in Downtown Decatur.
Saturday afternoon, June 8, is the Jamboree, which will feature free music for all ages from noon to 4 p.m. on the Decatur Bandstand, located behind the former courthouse.
Sunday night, June 9, is the Meridian Chorale and Popular Song, a concert held at the Historic DeKalb Courthouse in Decatur. Starting at 7 p.m., attendees can enjoy “popular Broadway, opera, and American standards” from the Meridian Chorale followed by ice cream after the show, according to a recent press release. General admission for the concert is $20 per ticket.
At 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 9, there will be a dinner, cocktail party, and auction. Tickets for the pre-concert festivities as well as the concert go for $100 per ticket.
