Decatur Police say a driver is facing charges after crashing their SUV into a Decatur School bus on Wednesday morning.

No one was injured and the driver was arrested, Lt. Jennifer Ross said.

“On Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at approximately 8:03 a.m., Decatur Police responded to an accident involving a CSD school bus on Commerce Drive at West Ponce de Leon Avenue,” Ross said. “The bus was stopped at the red light southbound on Commerce Drive at West Ponce de Leon Avenue and was struck from behind by a 2002 Ford Explorer. No injuries were reported and the children riding on the bus were taken to school. The driver of the Ford Explorer, identified as 45-year-old Ramiro Teoyotl-Juarez, was taken into custody for driving with no license and following too close.”
