U.S. Rep. Hank Johnson hosting career resources fair Monday
This Monday, May 13, U.S. Rep. Hank Johnson will host a resources fair at Georgia Piedmont Technical College in Clarkston for “constituents looking to launch their career, advance in their jobs and better their lives,” according to a release from Johnson’s office.
At the fair, participants can hear from a number of organizations helping people throughout Georgia’s fourth district and the rest of the state, including healthcare advisers and assistance for veterans.
Additionally, the Urban League of Greater Atlanta, the DeKalb Housing Authority and other agencies will be on hand to help constituents in small business development, resume building and job readiness.
The fair will also feature resources for formerly incarcerated residents interested in employment and a panel discussion on business in the entertainment industry.
A plethora of employers – such as AT&T, Goodwill, Grady Health System and Southern Mechanical Contractors, among others – will be on hand as well, the release said.
Throughout the fair, three breakout sessions will take place – one from 10:30 until 11:15 a.m., the second from 11:30 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. and the third from 2 until 2:45 p.m. Each session will focus on a variety of business-related topics.
The fair will begin at 10 a.m. on May 13 and lasts until 3 p.m.
