Agnes Scott College chooses inaugural Vice President for Equity and Inclusion

Agnes Scott College recently named Dr. Yves-Rose Porcena as the inaugural Vice President for Equity and Inclusion for the college. She will fill the new position starting on July 15, 2019.

“Dr. Porcena comes to Agnes Scott after a successful tenure as chief diversity officer at the University of West Georgia,” the announcement from Agnes Scott says. “She brings a wealth of leadership experience in higher education and global diversity.”

Dr. Porcena’s educational background consists of a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Emmanuel College, a Master of Arts from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University, and a Doctorate in Business Administration from the Coles College of Business at Kennesaw State University.

“I am very pleased to welcome Dr. Porcena to our Agnes Scott College family. Her breadth of experience, empathy for all individuals and collaborative work style will enhance our community’s existing equity and inclusion efforts,” Agnes Scott president Leocadia I. Zak said.
