Comic book writer Jon Waterhouse, a Decatur resident, has a story in issue No. 22 of “Star Wars Adventures.”
The latest issue features Waterhouse’s “A Tauntaun Tail,” with illustrations by Tony Fleecs.
There will be an author signing at My Parents’ Basement in Avondale Estates on June 17. The restaurant and comic book hub is located at 22 N. Avondale Road. The event begins at 7 p.m.
Waterhouse works for the Lenz marketing agency. According to Lenz, his story is set during the events of the film “The Empire Strikes Back.”
“It’s truly a dream come true to be playing in the ‘Star Wars’ sandbox as a creator,” Waterhouse said, according to Lenzmarketing.com. “The story takes place during a pivotal moment in ‘The Empire Strikes Back,’ which is one of my favorite ‘Star Wars’ films. So that makes this project even more special, not to mention surreal!”
