LifeLine Animal Project has extended its current adoption event through this Sunday, June 16, offering free adoptions at all four of its shelters.

Since the adoption event began on June 7, a total of 395 shelter pets have been adopted. Still, around 60 animals have entered LifeLine’s shelters every day this summer, and more are expected to come, according to a LifeLine press release.

Because of the influx, around 100 more homes are needed immediately. Between LifeLine’s four shelters, there are over 945 animals available to adopt.

All adoptions include the pet’s spay or neuter, microchip and vaccinations for no additional cost, which is worth over $300, according to LifeLine.

The four participating shelters are:

– DeKalb County Animal Services, 3280 Chamblee Dunwoody Rd., Chamblee

– Fulton County Animal Services, 860 Marietta Blvd. NW, Atlanta

– LifeLine Dog House & Kitty Motel, 129 Lake St., Avondale Estates

– LifeLine Cat Adoption Center, 3172 E Ponce de Leon Ave, Scottdale.

Additionally, LifeLine’s DeKalb County Animal Services shelter, along with the Atlanta Humane Society and Best Friends Atlanta shelters, will be open until 10 p.m. this Saturday, June 15, for a “Paws in PJs” pajama party event, featuring animals in pajamas and free adoptions.
