Dear readers,

Rather than phoning it in for a week when most of you are headed to the beach, I’ve decided to join you in taking the week off for some much needed rest and relaxation.

We’ve got a busy second half of the year coming up, with city elections looming and school resuming the first week of August. (!) I tried to think of something eloquent to put in this post, but this is the current situation:

I will of course stop what I’m doing if any major news breaks, but if all of you could refrain from committing any felonies this week, I’d appreciate it.
