Former Decatur City Manager Peggy Merriss up for interim city manager job in Sandy Springs

Former Decatur City Manager Peggy Merriss is being considered as the interim replacement for Sandy Springs’ city manager, according to Reporter Newspapers.
She would replace John McDonough, who is leaving for a job in Greenville, S.C.
The Sandy Springs City Council will meet on July 16 and vote on whether to hire Merriss to take the interim city manager job. Merriss, who spent 25 years as the city of Decatur’s city manager, retired at the end of 2018.
Reporter Newspapers says, “She now runs a management and leadership consulting business.” The business is called Merriss Management & Leadership Consulting.
