The City of Decatur and DeKalb Department of Watershed Management’s (DWM) Engineering and Construction Management will host a community open house this Thursday, July 11, to discuss sewer improvements across the city.

The sewer improvements are a part of the city’s Package III Gravity Sewer Project, which will provide easier maintenance, increased service capacity and reduced sanitary overflows in the city’s sewers. According to the city, the project will focus on sewers located on Oakland Street, Wilton Drive, Beaumont Avenue, Ponce de Leon Place, and South McDonough Street.

At the open house, which will take place at the Decatur Recreation Center, located at 231 Sycamore St. at 6:30 p.m., the DWM will discuss and provide more information about the project.

For questions or additional information, email [email protected] or contact the DWM Project Information line at 1-800-986-1108.
